Dr. Montoya earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology at Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. He earned a medical degree from the University of the East in the Philippines. He completed internal medicine residency at Booth Memorial Medical Center in New York, New York, and a fellowship at Georgetown University in Washington DC.
He has served on the medical executive committee and was the Chairman of the Medicine Special Care Committee at Lake City Medical Center. Dr. Montoya is published in multiple, peer-reviewed research studies.
In his spare time, Dr. Montoya enjoys biking, swimming, triathlon competition, cooking, and playing music on the guitar and piano.
