Cancer Care of North Florida, JointGlow to Offer Non-Surgical Joint Pain Treatment in Lake City

LAKE CITY, FL – August 27, 2026Cancer Care of North Florida, a leading provider of advanced cancer care throughout the region, today announced a new collaboration with JointGlow to provide low-dose radiotherapy (LDRT) for patients experiencing chronic musculoskeletal pain, osteoarthritis, and inflammatory tissue disorders. LDRT is an FDA-cleared, highly effective, non-invasive treatment option that can provide long-term joint pain relief without surgery or steroid injections.

Through this partnership, Cancer Care of North Florida will implement JointGlow’s proprietary LDRT protocol using its advanced linear accelerators and state-of-the-art radiotherapy technology.

The treatment experience is painless, non-invasive, and seamless. Using ultra-low doses of energy, LDRT targets the joint at the cellular level, prompting overactive, pro-inflammatory immune cells to switch to an anti-inflammatory “repair” state.

The efficacy of LDRT is supported by substantial data. Peer-reviewed clinical studies show high success rates for difficult-to-treat areas, such as knee osteoarthritis and chronic plantar fasciitis.

By leveraging established radiotherapy techniques to treat benign musculoskeletal conditions, Cancer Care of North Florida is expanding access to innovative treatment options for patients in the Lake City community and surrounding areas.

“We know that many patients are looking for alternatives to surgery, repeated injections, or other invasive approaches to managing chronic joint pain,” said John Bergin, M.D., DABR, Certified Physician in Low Dose Radiotherapy at Cancer Care of North Florida. “Our collaboration with JointGlow enables us to offer a treatment that aligns naturally with our patient-centered care model while providing another effective option for individuals seeking lasting relief. We’re pleased to bring this innovative therapy to the Lake City area.”

“Chronic joint pain can significantly affect a person’s quality of life and ability to stay active,” said Gokul Solai, MD, Founder and CEO of JointGlow. “We’re excited to partner with Cancer Care of North Florida to expand access to a treatment that addresses inflammation at its source and can provide durable results beyond what many traditional approaches offer.”
